A variation of my first turkey bites, worth writing down.
The main difference was making these on the stove, vs baking them. Possibly a tad bit more oil, but not much, and even more delicious. The picture here is about 1 day after I made the turkey bites – my daughter, husband, and I had devoured almost all of them. Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- Egg white, ~1/4 cup
- ~1/4 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- ~ 1-2 teaspoons olive oil
- Plus olive oil spray for the pans
- ~3 tablespoons shredded apple, no skin
- ~1 tablespoon honey
- Spices – ~1 tsp each?
- Chili powder
After mixing the ingredients, roll them into small balls, and then cook on medium high heat.
